Eliminate distractions – your smartphone
Smartphones are the best and worst thing ever invented, how often do you see a couple at dinner and they are both on their phones rather than being with each other.
How often have you been in a meeting and got distracted by something coming through on your phone?
Our ability to do deep work and being present with the ones we love is being destroyed by the Smart Phone. So do the best thing you can do is turn off all notifications on your Smart Phone especially Social Media and Email.
Never have a hangover again
Take two activated charcoal tablets before you start drinking and then glutathione when you finish drinking.
The activated charcoal binds all of the toxins from the booze
Glutathione is used by the liver to process alcohol – when you get liver damage, it’s because the liver has run out of glutathione.
Tomorrow morning, finish your warm shower with a cold shower for 1 minute – the first week is hell but then something strange happens and you’ll love it.

Eat what makes you feel great
Remove sugar and gluten from your diet and replace it with healthy fats – trust me, you will feel amazing.
If you want to take it up a notch, also take out dairy proteins and grains.
Eat a frog every morning
Has anybody here read the book Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy?
The focus behind the book is based on a quote by Mark Twain that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worse thing to happen to you all day. Your “frog” is the biggest and most important task and the one you are most likely to procrastinate on.
So when you get to the office, block out the first 90 mins to eat your frog and don’t do anything else – do your deep work before even checking email.
Help tame your monkey mind with mindfulness
Having a daily mediation ritual as had the single biggest impact on me over the past year. I used to think it was all a but woo woo. Science has proven it’s benefits and the majority of the worlds top performers who have been interviewed by Tim Feriss have some firm of mindfulness practice.
So go download headspace and take 10 mins each day – morning works best.
Improve the quality of your sleep not quantity
So how many hours do people think it the optimal amount to sleep at night?
It’s a personal choice, I’m on average 7 hours per night for the past 12 months.
However, focus on quality and not quantity – start by downloading the sleep cycle app, which will monitor your quality and duration of sleep. You will start to notice correlations between what you have done that day and how well you sleep. A few tips to improving slepp quality:
1. Sleep in a cave – block all LED lights in your bedroom
2. Avoid blue light – install f.lux on your PC, dim the lights and best of all wear blue blocking glasses
3. Don’t drink caffeine after 2pm
4. Take 400-500mg of magnesium before bed
5. Journal before bed to get thoughts out of your head
6. Spoon full of honey and apple cider vinegar – tranquilises some people
Keep an open mind on Smart Drugs
Keep an open mind – not all drugs are bad even though they have been banned in the UK. I’m not a medical Doctor, so cannot recommend that you take smart drugs or nootropics even if some of them have a great safety record. However, they are becoming very common in Universities and the Boardroom.
Modafinil – anti narcalepsi drug is rife if UK Universities and helps with focus
Micro-dosing with LSD is popular with creatives as it puts them into a creative flow without giving them the trip
Micro-dosing with nicotime helps with attention
Aniracetam – helps with working memory / fluid speeeach and cognitive capabilities
CoQ10 / PQQ – protect and energise your mitrochondria – the powerplants in every cell in your body
The boundaries between where supplements end and smart drugs start is beming less clear.
Prime your day for success
Define a morning ritual of good habits that prime your day for success. This is a set routine that you go through every morning until it become habitual like taking a shower or cleaning your teeth – things to consider building into your morning routine could be: cold showers, meditation, practicing gratitude, stretching, drinking a pint of water or taking supplements
Be truly present
Bring more presence into your life and stop living out of your head where your monkey brain is telling you you can’t do something or is making you think about what you need to do tomorrow. It’s now been proven we have three brains in our body, connected via the vegus nerve and all three impact each other – more woo woo hey!!
I just want to leave you with two things
- Trust your gut – it’s a powerful instinct that is nearly always right – so take time every day to reflect and listen to it
- Be there for your family – leave the office on the doorstep, don’t check your phone and be truly present with your family, after all – we all work for them, right?
